Why Glitch?

With a background in photography (focused an interest in urban decay and abandonments) Arvin’s eye was already finely tuned to seeing the beauty in things others would cast aside or entirely ignore because of their perceived lack of resplendency.

Why Glitch?

A love of glitch aesthetics has followed him since childhood, first sparked by Princess Leia’s hologram message to Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope. For a long time, there was no practical way for him to work within that visual language. The discovery of circuit bending changed everything, opening up a world where video could finally be bent, broken, and reshaped into the distorted forms he had always imagined.

Why Glitch?

It’s the antithesis of beauty. It’s punk rock in visual form. It’s art that is entirely futuristic, while staying tied to the past. It’s a contradiction, a mission statement. Glitch is an understanding that things don’t have to be perfect to be captivating.
